| please wish me luck, I am crapping myself I am having both knees operated on at the same time, I have struggled for years, having trouble walking, kneeling and bendidng, so, tomorrows the day.just panicking about how I am going to manage the zoo, especially the cages, Ste is taking a sickie for a week to look after me when I come home.I,m sure it will all be worth it and I will be running marathons in the spring |

| hi guys, just arrived home.firstly, I havent had my knees replaced, apparently I,m to young for that, its good to know I,m too young for something.... I have have had catrlidge and muscle repair in both.the reason I had them done together because fo the risk I pose with a general anesthetic due to my asthma, all the nurses were saying, "having them both done together? your very brave"...... I was not very brave, I was crapping myself.... anyway, they are done and I feel my legs have been run over by a steam roller, I have strong medication and this is helping with the pain.the surgeon came to see me this morning and assured me that now the operation is done I would be running marathons by spring..... which is a bloody miracle because I have never run a marathon in my life.... Ste had to smuggle me upstairs away from the dogs because I cant risk them jumping up at me or on the bed, I will let them up one at a time, Gabrile is asleep on the bed beside me, he trashed his cage last night because Ste and not me got him out, he missed his mum, bless!I can just make it too the loo atm, because both knees were done I cant use crutchesso I am walking like a child with a very full nappy...Ste is my slave and it feels good I ring his mobile when I want anything thank you everyone for caring about me |

| I cant believe how well I am, I have wipped the bandages off and drove for the first time yesterday.
I was told it would be a month, but I feel great and needed to get out.
I cant bend them yet but that will come with physio, at least I am getting about and functioning bagain |
