| I would love to feed mine raw but worry about the bones they have to have. Shadow doesnt do well with bones,he's either sick or has the runs. Its a shame cos i think he would benefit from a raw diet. _________________ |

| I normally lave it out over night as well but between Dusk steealing it and the damn cats at it its now doing my head in!!! leaving it in the fridge takes ages and the mess from the juice of the meat when it defrosts.....
Storm is also being very greedy just now the meat comes in 454g bags Dusk was getting 2 a day have upped Storm and Zara to 1n half each would you say this is about right Dusk is 34-36 kilos, Storm is 35 kilos and Zara is 34 kilos (she needs to loose a bit of weight.... Storm is a muscley girl and Dusk well dusk is just Dusk.....lol
I also give them pasta, rice and veg and fish once a week sometimes twice and bones once in a while as they dont agree with Storm they make her constipated for some weird reason. |

| Mine have the chicken wing bones but i dont give them any others i used to give them a large bone now and again but they kept bringing them in the house The bloody things would go everywhere with them because they were both too scared to leave them just incase the other one nicked it I used to give mine 2 bags each a day aswell but noticed they were getting too fat (especially Keira) so its down to 3 bags between them and Mickey gets some chicken wings aswell or sometimes its 1 bag each and some chicken wings Keira is a greedy cow and is always on the scrounge for more She was a right fusspot with food until i started feeding RAW she never leaves any food now Not sure how heavy my two are now i think Mickey was about 38/40kg last time i had him weighed and Keira was about 34/35kg I put the bags in their dishes when thawing so the juice doesnt drip on anything My hubby says if anything happens to me the dogs will have to get used to dry food again he cant stand the smell and mess |

| I used to use ice cream containers to defrost the tripe, but Sue & I were given quite plastic containers with lids recently. I add cold water to speed up the defrosting process in winter. Im giving sam & tess half a block each at night and they have dried food in a morning. They will get bones/chicken wings or any reduced meat i find when i go shopping.
Im not sure if this is any help Lorz http://www.raw4dogs.com/calculate.htm

| raw meat leftout overnight , as ours are only fed once a day (aprt from pups})the rest is used next day the blood is used to soak ther biscuits , we get 5 X 2kg (frozen)and 1 x5kg fresh cost a tenner (if u spend £7 ) bones are free ,so 2 bags of bones (8)usually frozen but raw after a couple of days we dig the remaining marrow out at it gets mixed with biscuits (no meat that feed) we dont have a problem given them all a bone at same time as they are used to eating together .
