PostSubject: Marleys check up   Fri Aug 05, 2011 10:26 am

Marleys been back to the vets this morning after being on 2 weeks antibiotics for his bowel infection. Marley has put on 2.1kgs in 2 weeks which is good, his poos are much firmer with the hills food but still yellowish. Neil said he was pleased with marleys progress but this infection could take up to 6 weeks to clear so we have another 224 tablets, 4 weeks worth.......he hates them poor lad and im sick of sticking my fingers down his throat but they are doing him good so will persevere!!!

I would nornally do something like that Sue but these have to be given 30mins before any food is given, neil asked us if Marley would take them without being disguised, he does bless him.....eventually ......and I have to check his mouth so he hasnt hidden them to spit them out!!

    aww bless his hairyness ....
fingers crossed this puts an end to his troubles hun

fred hates taking tablets ... so to stop him spitting them out or furking them out of meat or even clamping his teeth round my fingers i bought a pestal and mortar and i now grind them up into a fine powder, mix with water and tip through his clenched teeth ...works a treat

    *Marley update*

marley has infected anal glands again he cant have antibiotics for that as he is on the tablets for his bowel. neil had to give him an injection as his bum was red hot. we have to take him 2 days before our hols to have them sqeezed again and then after our hols its looking like he has to have the op even though his poos have improved by 99 per cent the infection isnt clearing
