i had a dog all set up for breeding gemma, but after a extra long look at the pedigree i realized they both had a relative further back that produced blue , i would be gutted if i had a blue so i have to start looking again, gemma is due in season any day so theres a possibility we will not be mating her

Most breeders dont like colours Shell, then again some breed specifically for certain colours.

I have Shadow, but he was neutered at 15 months old,i never intended to breed
    with him.

Breeding colours is not my thing but we like what we like,so everybody different
and yes, there are some nice coloured dogs out there.

    i agree with sue shelley

but its all down to money

gsds are about the only breed where the kc allows colours that dont comply with the breed standard to be registered .
even on accredited breeders it states you must comply with your breed standard
    whites,blues ,etc dont comply
but do the maths yourself over 12,000 gsd pups registered last year at £13 each
    almost treble many breeds

then look at the whites, blues being advertised every week lot of money to lose if you do not register them

but if joe public wants to pay above the going rate for a fault then thats up to them

many dont realise its a fault until they want to try showing

ther is currently an advert in scotland
2 litters total 18 pups (same breeder)
advert reads longcoat blues, blue/tan & all black

believe the last time the advert read only blues in scotland £850

think you know who it is Jan there a little further north than you

Think i do know who it is Kenny.£850

Now that is shocking.Would that be the same breeder that has around 10
litters a year. ......Dundee area possibly.
