PostSubject: Frontline or advocate   Sat Jul 16, 2011 3:26 pm

Since Caius had all his problems with his mites and ears he has been on repeat prescription for Advocate. He has just finished his last treatment and it has worked really well but I'm wondering would changing him onto something like Frontline help for a few months so that he doesn't build up an immunity to the Advocate. Or could anyone recommend anything else to try?

I'm asking you for advice again peeps. Thanks

Thanks girls. His advocate has kept his mites at bay but I'm unsure what to do. What if I change to a different brand and he starts with problems again because of his immune system again? Do I stick with the same one to be on the safe side and hope the mites dont build up immunity to the advocate?

Wot would you do in similar situation?

Thanks Sue I think I will. Just don't want him suffering again The mite infestation he had the vet said was because his immune hadn't fully developed thats why he was suffering

I hope I didn't worry you then hun if I did

Stronghold is another one. I have been using Frontline with Viva but am considering changing to Advocate or Stronghold, but both need to be purchased from your vet or you can get a prescription and order online.
