PostSubject: So proud of Viva   Mon Jun 27, 2011 11:55 am

We went to a local dog show over the weekend and managed to come home with 6 rossettes She was placed in every class we entered.

I was most proud of her for the obedience class. It was held in the hall next door to the main show away from distractions etc, but there was one huge distraction in the corridor, a photographer doing pet portraits with the noisest yappy bittest little yorkie. I was pooping myself for the class.
We had to do heelwork on and off lead, recall, sit stay for 1 min and down stay for 1 min. All of which she does fine but i was worried with the distractions, especially when a woman having a portrait of her dog done was using a squeaky to get its attention
Anyway we done it, wasnt her best work but it went ok, her recall was fantastic her heelwork on lead was pretty good but her off heelwork had a few bad bits, which is strange as shes usually better off lead than on for heelwork, she did the down and sit perfect.... anyway, didnt think i'd done well enough to be placed but we came 3rd!
Im so proud of her shes amazing When i spoke to the judge and said i was surprised she said although she did have a few mistakes she was consistently good. There was 9 others in the class so that made me more happy, was thinking there must have only been 3

We also entered the working/pastoral and came 2nd
    Best Condition and came 4th
    Best Rescue 5th
    Most appealing eyes 3rd
Best 6 six 2nd - Because she has cut her pad ive been bandaging her foot to stop infection or anything getting in it so i colour coordinated my socks to match her bandage.
The show wasnt as busy as last year but still very good. Was ranging between 6-15 dogs per class.

She was so well behaved all day, forgot i had her on the end of the lead at some points in the day awww im so proud of her

I will add photos to the photo room

    Thank you
Thinking back we have come so far, i would never have thought we'd be able to do a recall off lead, she would have done a runner. Ive been hugging her so hard im surprised ive not squashed her
