PostSubject: Mickeys Training   Wed Jun 22, 2011 10:26 pm

    Started today and Guess What

He didnt kick off like he usually does

To say im shocked is an understatement because he was really hyped up before we went this morning

Im really pleased with how he behaved and thought he did really well
Just hope he starts to feel less threatened around other dogs and starts to behave more at home

Its the gold we re going for this time so there will be alot of offlead training so im hoping the good behaviour is here to stay Two dogs had a run round today playing offlead and ran straight at him i thought he would really kick off but he wanted to get out of the way more than retaliate

Im sure Mo Zep and Geoff must think im a right bullshitter but Mickey is a totally different dog when he goes training wonder if he realises its a safe environment so relaxes more
Whatever the reason i just hope he keeps it up and starts to chill out at home more

    Roll on next weeks training

I dont think so because hes up for it as soon as you get his lead getting over excited and puffing himself up

Maybe initially i was really nervous but not now i get annoyed more than nervous which i know doesnt help I just want to be able to have a nice quiet walk without having to apologise to people and tell them HES NOT REALLY AGGRESSIVE HES JUST NOT KEEN ON OTHER DOGS BECAUSE HES BEEN ATTACKED BY OFFLEAD DOGS IN THE PAST!!!

Im more nervous at training of making an idiot of myself i never react quick enough when the trainers are watching lol!

Too busy nosing at the other dogs or talking

Way to go you two. Its great when all the hard work pays off aint it?
I always used to feel stupid and tense and nervous at training but then my trainer said that its always harder for the dogs when at class because of all the distractions there

If ya come gud there you got it cracked hun
