after receiving some great advice about freds leg and his diet and lack of weight gain from the lovely sue ....

i have got him loads of helpful things that sue suggested ....

hes now got a magcollar on to help with his back legs ...

some advice i got given by debbie callaghan was to give him green lipped mussel so i got him some yumove which contains glucosamine the green mussell and something else... i forget what

ive also got him a coat for when its raining heavily

his dietery supplements came this morning from dorwest ... this will help with his weight gain by increasing his appetite ... even though he wont take the tablets... i have to crush them up mix them with water and tip it down his throat

and ive found somewhere that does hydrotherapy, so when the OH is back were going to go along and take a look

ive already upped his meals and am feeding him 4 times a day to make sure hes getting what he needs, so far its going good even if i am having to hand feed him because if left to fred he would eat next to nothing if anything at all he has weeks where he will eat loads, then we have weeks where he doesnt

we will get there

fingers and toes are crossed hun that you will get there with him, you are ceratinly pulling out all the stops for him

hes been quite happy these past few days lol .... even trying to rag tias cardigan he found on the sofa ... ...not funny i know .. but he hasnt been like that for ages ... not that hes been miserable... but you know what i mean lol

i have bonnie and mindy on yumove , did you have a word with his breeder shelley, hydropherapy will help build his muscles back up, great news about him eating more, fingers crossed he carries on ,

he was on just glucosamine before ... i had never seen the yumove in our PAH ... there was only a couple of tubs so i had them both

i havent had chance to have a word with mo or zep yet... i'll e-mail them and arrange a time when the OH is back for me to take him over...

im keeping everything crossed he continues with his eating too .... its lovely to see him feeling full and content

yes jude it is , you can get suplement paste or tablets , i have mine on the tabs , but steve who owned rory [ tess dad] was telling me there is a vet ib huddersfield that gives injections for arthritis at £25 a time he said they worked on rory, i dont think bonnie's got to that stage yet but it is good to know ,

im pleased fred is eating the yumove tablets easily...would have been a nightmare if he didnt like them
