i mated tammy again and she missed again [ 2nd time ] and the next time she will be in season , so will gemma, and i don't know which one to mate, i have 4 pups booked for gemma but tammy will be 5 this month and it would be her last litter , do i mate both incase any of them miss or just mate gemma because i have pups booked, not that i ever had problems selling tammys pups, just don't know what to do, and i don't even have a stud dog lined up yet ,

i know its a hard decision to make sue.

Maybe if you mate both and then if tammy does miss again you always have gemmas litter only.

Good luck with finding a stud dog as know how hard it is to find something that is right

I agree with Elaine that its a hard decision but would mate both incase one misses good luck in finding the stud but i know they will be stunning pups and i will want them all again!!

I agree with both Lainee and Judes (soz Hun) but I would go the whole hog and mate both. At least if one of them misses you still have a litter.
The same applies with the stud dog all your pups are adorable and as I believe what is meant to be will be if ya manage to find a stud then it could be the right decision for you
At the end of the day though only you can make the decision but I'm sure you'll make the right one

I don't feel knowledgable enough to make a decision

Mate both!

Have you tried HT42D...I swear by it for getting bitches that are hard to impregnate in whelp. Also, maybe just before you mate her get the CHV vacc and then again, if in whelp at 7 weeks. Again I swear by this, it along with the HT helps create a friendlier enviroment for the pups, gives bigger and stronger pups and also cuts down mortality rates.

If that doesn't work, then I am afraid Mother Nature has deemed she ain't gonna get no pups! So just enjoy her.

But I would mate both and if you need help with puppy enquires...I have too many to fill. I am fully booked until next year and not planning another Shepherd litter until later on, near Winter. (I like GSD litters during the winter)
If you need details on the HT or the CHV don't hesitate to ask...I have all the info here.
I do have some case examples of it working too.

Best of British xx

On the stud: Why not use the same boy on both? That way you can see the differences or similarities between what each line throws. Done this many a time and it works.

thanks no i have not tried the food, tammy had 2 litters no problem before, i have looked into the herpes injection and a course of ant-biotics when she comes back in season, i want to put my longcoat gemma to another longcoat this time, and have sorted a dog out for tammy going back to the lindanvale line which i just love, like you say if tammy don't ever have pups again she will stay with me forever and i will totally enjoy her unless she's a madam lol, which is quite alot of the time

Speak to your Royal Canin Rep about the food and they will sort you out with some.
