| i have a friend who is desperate for a dog .... shes waited until she got on her feet and felt she was ready for one ... and now she feels it is time she works part time .. and has two kids at home, one who is 17 and a young child of 4... there is someone home most of the time, but on the odd occasion there isnt. she isnt particularly fussy what dog she has, her only specification was that she wasnt keen on having a small dog ... as far as i know she has no other animals... i can check on this for sure she lives in fenton S-O-T ... cheers for any help _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | Advise her to go to a rescue.
I have one male here at 20 months old but he needs expert handling and is unpredictable. He came into me on Tues and I am working with him next week to assess him but I don't hold out too much hope as he has already had a go at Dom and myself yesterday. Fear agression.
I know that, if she isn't fussy of breed, there are many rescues who have dogs waiting. But truthfully, everyone does have a preference.....short, long haired, hound, working etc etc. Try to find out more from your friend.
Go onto the KC website and do the suitablity test and see which one she takes to, then direct her to THAT breed rescue.
You don't say if it is an older dog or pup she wants. Being away part of the day is not good for any dog but maybe a mature one would be quite happy to lie around for a bit.
Wishing you well in your quest. |

| There is a dogs home in Stoke. Not sure it has too good a reputation but thats not the dogs fault. If anything they are probably more deserving
