PostSubject: Caius back at vets :(   Wed Feb 23, 2011 5:33 pm

Just look at how we found him this morning

His eye was healing up lovely and he wasn't having anymore probs until we found him with a red raw eye this morning.
Took him back to the vets this afternoon and he said it is the same dermatox(or it could be dermatix)that is causing the problem. Gave us some more Advocate and a 2 week course of antibiotics to help clear the infection. Plus a plastic collar to wear on a night in his crate.

The vet said that the reason he is suffering is because he is so young that his immune system isn't coping too well in fighting off the mite. (apparently they had a staffie in this morning with the same thing but all across its forehead (again a young pup)

Our poor baby looks like he's really been in the wars and I feel really bad

    Thank you all.
Everybody's hugs have been passed on to Caius. He went to bed last night with his big collar on - he wasn't impressed I can tell ya.

Came down this morning and the collar was still in one piece I had visions of it chewed

His eye is now starting to scab up. From what the vet said it may be a long process but I'll keep ya all up to date

The collar he wears on a night is stopping him from scratching his eye when we aren't about so it is healing really well. He isn't bothered about taking the antibiotics just put them in his food and it's gone

    Tummy rub given

Its good to see ya back missus I've missed ya
