Just off the phone to the vets and sorry if this is muddled up hope you understand.

They have done an x-ray, ultra-sound and blood profile on storm and her vagina/uterus is very large and filled with fluid, she has an infection in uterus they think the cause of this is that when she got speyed a bit ovarian tissue was left behind, so they are goin going to put her on a drip just now to get fluids and anti-biotics in her and operate tomorrow to remove the infected part of the uterus. Her Kidney and liver are coping fine just now the vet said but if i had left her another couple of days would of been problems. So they are keeping her in tonight and tomorrow night obviously. I think i have remember most of what the vet said to me on the phone was taking notes. They also think she has been having silent seasons as she has still had the female hormone they said this does happen in rare occasions. I'm in bits my poor poor baby.

AWWWWWWW hun I've missed this you must of been worried sick.
The good news now is that they know what is wrong and can make storm feel better. You were right to go with your gut instinct hun

Is it a stump pyometra? If it is Keira had the same

It can be very serious so hopefully theyve caught it early and will get the infected stump removed and the infection under control quickly

I know how you must be feeling and will be thinking of you both tomorrow

Keira was really poorly but quickly recovered once the stump was removed
Im sure Storm will be fine and back to normal soon
