Some of you will be shocked, some of you already know.

Shady gave birth to 9 puppies 4 weeks ago Bailey is the dad.

It was a complete accident and a shock when I found out she was pregnant, believe me.

I have always been so careful and had Shades booked in to be
spayed this month they were never left alone for one minute, or so I thought!!!
My Hubby let them both out in the yard for 5 mins he said, before he realised
what he had done. But the worst of it is he didn't tell me coz he knew I would
go ape. I took Shady to the vets thinking she had a thyroid problem because she
had put on weight, he told me she was pregnant. I was mortified to say the
least. I have never been so angry at my husband in a very long time. There was
nothing I could do but let Shady go ahead with the pregnancy she was too far
gone. I have kept it a secret coz I was embarrased

after all I work in rescue and am always going on and on about people who breed litters that are not health checked etc etc and plus I am a volunteer for GSDRescue which doesn't look good really does it? I have told some of my rescue friends as well as one or 2 or 3 or 4 peeps here...
They are here now and I love them

and am very proud of them, and of Shady and Bailey

I don't think - in my meagre opinion - there is anything to be embaressed about. You weren't to know they 'got it on' behind closed doors, you were as dilegent to stop a mating as you could be. Accidents happen and I personally do not think you should be judged on something like this.

They are absolutely beautiful puppies and I am sure they will be reared with professional care and love. They will grow into well adjusted adults in brilliant forever homes.

You should NOW be very proud of your brood and ignore (if and its a big if) anything negative.

Enjoy your babies and I hope you post a lot more lovely pictures so we can all see them growing up.

PS forgot to say...I really like the one pictured sitting with a kind of milky surround to the photo. Dunno if its male or female, but THAT is a lovely puppy....Drool!

Video idea is brilliant...might steal the idea if thats ok!!! lol The puppies are stars!

Do you mind me asking what colours are in the litter...I see B&T and Sable but is that a wee Solid Black in there too or is it the camera angle? If it is, what colours were the parents and behind them, reason I ask is I am doing my own research on Colour combinations as it is a very interesting subject...(for my own personal use not for publication) Oh and coat..long or short...hard to tell from pics.

there are 3 solid blacks same as Mum The 3 sables are so like Bailey when he was a puppy, 1 black and tan girl and the 2 large black and tan boys have dark grey paws and tan elbows lol! not sure on coat lenth yet I will try to get some better pics of them soon xxx

Accidents happen dont be silly and you look after your dogs not like a lot of people out there!!!! they are lurvely!!!!
