    Meet 'Cali'

On the Thursday 9th December 2010, she was discovered down our stables in Washbrook Lane, Norton Canes, Cannock. She was curled up in a bath of hay, emaciated and in the state you see in the pictures. We rang the RSCPA to be told they do not get paid to pick up dogs, and that we needed to ring a dog warden; this is a charity supposedly dedicated to rescuing animals. Having rang several people and being messed around by the RSPCA, If they had picked her up and given her the medical attention she needed she might have been alive today. We took her home, and wrapped her in warm blankets, ringing round shelters, and she was picked up and taken to St Georges in Wolverhampton for emergency veterinary treatment. I rang today, 10th December to check on her progress. But it was too late and 'Cali' died on the way in the van yesterday. The RSPCA never acted within this 4 hours, that could have been the difference between life or death for this little girl. A thank you goes to the local dog warden and Sunnyside Kennels who tried their best to hurry her to a vets.
    The RSPCA is a disgrace.
In the same week, they let 4 colts (horses) die on a field, also in washbrook lane. Please join our other page in memory of the horses who passed away in the cold with scour, and freezing to death, starved and riddled with worms.
Please join this page in memory of 'Cali' and give a thought to all the animals alone this Christmas and dying in the cold. Please help your local shelters and make sure no dog has to die, starving to death with no loving owner to look after her. Discarded after she failed to be of use to local travelers , the same people who also owned the above horses.
    Rest easy at rainbow bridge.

This page is dedicated in her memory. Please Join and invite your friends to join.

    all angels now.

    rest in peace sweeties.

I,n not being bah humbug, and I love the snow, but I can't help when my thoughts turn to the homless people and unloved animals that have to endure the elements when we are all enjoying all the festvities the snow can bring.

that photo made me cry, that poor little girls eyes will haunt me for a long time
