Dyson's Groom Tool for dogs has been officially launched today, a 'mess-free' dog-grooming brush for Dyson vacuum cleaners.Yesterday Which? experts correctly predicted that Dyson's latest gadget launch would be a dog-grooming tool, following hints from Dyson that today's UK unveiling would have a canine theme.According to Dyson founder James Dyson: 'A moulting dog isn't man's best friend. Conventional grooming tools create a fur cloud and more cleaning. We've engineered the Groom Tool to hygienically remove fur, without the mess. We'll be bringing you our first impressions of the Dyson Groom Tool in a hands-on video First Look review soon - but in the meantime you can watch our preview video from today's launch.

Very handy we've just got one cost £40 from Dyson

At £40 it does seem to be a bit over-priced, but knowing the quality of Dyson stuff, I'd expect 'you get what you pay for'...

It works on the principle of attaching the tool to the hose of the particular Dyson you happen to have, and then holding the nicely ergonomic Groom Tool, pressing your thumb on the retractable handle (on the top) that thus exposes the brush-bristles - once a few strokes of the tool have gripped the excess 'fur' you release the retractable handle which clears/pushes the brush-bristles and sucks the fluff straight down the hose - rinse & repeat....voila!

So far we haven't had one bit of mess, and Brogans coat looks great. It doesn't bother him at all, and it even seemed to have a fairly soporific effect on him

Out of 10, I'd give it an overall 8! It misses the last 2 simply on the fact of cost. Was it, say, £25, I'd give a 10/10. However, it does come with free P&P and was delivered in a few days, so no long waits.

All-in-all, if you do have a Dyson, it's deffo useful and worthwhile investing in if your four-legged friend(s) does have problems with "fur, fur & more fur". I think over the years it'd prove more than worth it's money

Hope that helps, any Q's ask away...

(Copied Craigs review from another forum but was a goodie girl and asked first )

I use it every 3-4 days on Brogan and have greatly reduced the tumble-fur around the house
