    i need some advice.....

    smelleyfanny....

my fish are looking very lethargic, and one of the honey gourami is very bloated, ive put some treatment in for that, but when i went to feed them this morning, theyre normally all round the top of the tank waiting, but this morning they never bothered

could it be that theyve got no light in there, the light is broken, ive got to wait till next month for my dad to look at it, its been that way for some time now

i dont want to lose all me fishies

Apparently light makes no difference to the fish, it's just for our benefit and any living plants so I read

Is it full of eggs? or does it look like it will explode

    pmsl@Jan

    Can't help much sorry

I am letting my tank run down now, will miss it but may put my little one back up insteasd

pmsfl @ jan .....nooooo dont give me advice

yea i read the same thing earlier about the light, that makes no difference to them..... i cant really see the fish properly cos theres no light, so im not sure if its full of eggs or if its bloated.... if i cant get the bloomin light fixed, i'l run my tank down lol.... it would be a shame though cos theres loads of lovely fish in there now

why are you running yours down sange?

i thought light warmed the water along with the thermostate , they might be lethargic because of the cold , light surely means sunshine to fishies and everything feels better when the suns out

ooh i dont know sue, i dont think any heat actually comes from the light, i could be wrong, but the heater is set to the right setting and that gives enough heat to the water

theyre definately not as active as they normally are

i dont have an undergravel filter .. i have fluval filters ... two of them which is more than enough for the tank.... im going to clean them out again later see if that helps, but theyve recently had new pads put in ive got bottom feeing fish to eat the shiit and two large snails, plus ive got snail eating fish to eat any babies....

theyre fed blood worm 3 times a week to combat any tummy problems.... last month they were given tonic to boost them up.... so gawd knows whats happening

    Forgot that bit

Coz when we did the living room up, it was way to big to stay in here, cramping the room up and I like s p a c e

So we put it in the kitchen, the only place it could fit was opp the window and it gets full of algae looks horrid no matter what I do and I can't get to it very good coz the table and chairs are in the way

So will let it go now and poss use my little one whatever it's called, reef tank or summat
