PostSubject: ROCKY NEEDS A HOME   Mon Oct 04, 2010 10:40 pm

Rocky born 30th May 2008. He is a boxer crossed will english bull mastif. Mother (dame) Cleo - Our Girl is Poetry in Motion. Father (shire) Black Dragon Prince. Mum - Kennel club reg AE0469430B. Dad club reg af05271901.
Rocky is uptodate with his innoculations and worming. Rocky needs his ears cleaning on a daily basis - apart from this he has no other known health problems. He is currently insured with Sainsbury Pets insurance. He is microchipped and has been castrated. Rocky is a medium to large breed and very strong. He has lots of energy and is very agile. He walks well on the halti lead but because he can be dog unfriendly needs good supervision. He seems ok with small dogs and dogs which do not show any aggression towards him. Rocky cannot be let of the lead because he will not return on command. He will only come back when he is ready. I am sure this can be rectified with training. Rocky is a very loving dog who loves to cuddle up on the sofa. He is very gentle. You can take his bone/toys off him no problem. Rocky has been around children since he was a puppy and has never given us any concerns. Rocky is fed on dry food and is very happy on this. Unfortunately due to work commitments Rocky is left on his own for long periods of time - from 7 am till 5 pm. He is walked for 3/4 hours before being left. He is house trained and not destructful. Rocky is very protectful of his territory and does not like to be confined to one room. He likes to have the full run of the downstairs area. Upon returning home he is let out into the yard for the toilet. He is good in the yard and does not constantly bark to be let in. Preferably we would like Rocky to go to a home where he is not left on his own so long as he does enjoy human company. He will make a very loyal companion.
Rocky will come with his bed and all accessories. The only reason for re-homing is due to the fact that the families 9 month old baby has developed a severe allergy to dogs causing him to be admitted to hospital. This means at the moment they have to keep then seperate which is very difficult. Rocky will be greatly missed by all the family and this is a very sad occaision everyone. It would make us very happy to see him go to a loving caring home.
