PostSubject: such a shame   Sun Sep 19, 2010 5:23 pm

yesterday just before we took the dogs out, my OH came back from the shop and said there was an almighty commotion outside, two dogs were having a big fight, i looked out the window but that was it,normally i would go out and have a nosey ... i said to him a bit later, it wasnt kayleigh over the road was it, shes got her mates staffie staying, he said no it sounded further away ...

when we took the dogs out to the car i had a quick scan of the street but saw or heard nothing....

later on that evening i saw my neighbour, kayleigh with her hand all bandaged up, it WAS her dog and her friends dog fighting, and she got caught in the middle and ended up in hospital... how awful did i feel not going out for a nosey, had i done that i could of gone over and helped her....i couldnt apologise enough bless her ...

it turned out her friends staffy attacked her dog for no reason that she knew of, she had locked on and there was blood everywhere, kayleigh went to try drag narla(her dog) away when charne(the other dog) had let her go, but as she went to grab narla, charne lunged for narla again and got kayleigh, her brother was in bed as he works nights, but luckily his son was there and went to wake him up and he managed to break it up... they put the dog outside in her friends car and kayleigh had to go hospital...

charne has now been put to sleep, which i totally disagree with, shes not a viscious dog, kayleigh just happened to get in the way... shes never attacked before.. and narla is a short tempered dog anyway, shes not very social and only tolerates dogs for a short time... charne has been shoved from pillar to post lately as her owners were made homeless, for a while she was living in the car outside kayleighs until i went mad and made them take her out before they got reported or the dog died of the cold or heat!!!! so it was a disaster waiting to happen, its so infuriating

luckily kayleigh is okay and narla is none the worse for her ordeal ... and kayleighs friends now have no dog to worry about so it probably worked out alright for them in the end, they did have another staffy a little pup, they have no idea where it is as her aunt was looking after it(supposedly) and it went missing and they never found it, or even bothered looking for it,some people need a good kicking!!...

i keep thinking if i had been there when it happened i could have made sure my friend was okay and i could have taken the dog to a rescue somewhere and have her assessed rather than have her put straight to sleep, tbh i think theyve only done it cos shes hassle at the moment whilst theyre homeless!!!!!....

wait till i see them, i shall them exactly what i think
