| usually lasts about 3 weeks in total but vulnerable for about a week, when Lucy was in season we sent her to the in-laws for a few days as it was driving Busta crazy and us also |

| Some bitches can be in for less or longer, 3 weeks is the avarage but they are like us, not reliable when it comes to that sort of thing |

| a bitch will always sit or try to bite when she is not ready to stand. if they were not seperated at night how can you be sure they have not mated ? shes way to young to have pups so to be sure i would take her to vet to be checked. you can get a jab for this but it has to be given on 3rd and 5th date after suspected date of mating and due to two visits to vet can be expensive. i hope you have got through this ok but you will have to make arrangements for any coming seasons. A dog will always go mad when seprated from bitch in season or is this normal when seperated anytime |

| When Lucy was in season and was receptive it was hard going keeping her and Busta apart....I had already bought some of them pants which helped but it was driving Busta stir-crazy and us as we were having very little sleep...Luckily for us the in-laws were on hand so they had Lucy for about 4 days, Busta calmed down a fair bit but because we visited Lucy he would go crazy cos of her scent on us!
We will have one more litter with Lucy next year and then they will both be done....its not fair on either dog to go through that....must be very frustrating for them.
Its a pity that you cant separate them cos if and when she allows him to mount things may get worse...behaviour etc
Good luck

my dad sleeps downstairs at night so if anything goes on he hears them, its normal when they are seperated at any time, if we take blaze out without skyla she will SCREAM her head off till he is back, and if we take skyla out without blaze , he will howl and cry till she is back
we cant even send 1 of them to a relative, as my nan and grandad dont have a secure garden for them, neither does my auntie, my other auntie has rabbits and a hamster and my other auntie has several rabbits, a cat and a hamster
sorry i have no idea how to quote lol |
