Marley has a bit of a sore ear, he has been scratching for a couple of days and when I looked last night it looks a bit red and he is yelping sometimes when he scratches. could I put savlon or sudocreme on to see if that works before I get myself off to the vets? _________________

Hi Judes, Sorry to hear bout Marley. Our Brogan suffered with excema in his ears and when we took him to vets they gave him antibiotic and ear drops but it kept recurring regularily. We then took it upon ourselves to find an alternative and came across M and C ear cleaner it contains neem oil which is really soothing and by using it every 3-4wks we now have no further probs. His ears are lovely and clean they dont itch and all inflammation is gone. My hubby got it from Pets at home Had a look on website but cant find it on website. We got it instore. Hope this helps.

Bryn is the same as you described, so I always have thornit in the house and use it on a regular basis, seems to help him

I have given him an antihistamine to take away the itch if it is an allergy, I dont think he's had anything different food wise as they are doing well on skinners I dont have to add anything to it. I will get Ed to go to pets at home tomorrow and see if he can get something from there. thanks for all the advice its much appreciated _________________

Marley update I had to take him to see neil yesterday as he has scratched so hard he has broken the skin and neil says his ear is ulcerated because of his scratching. Dont know whats caused it but neil had a good look to see if there was anything inside but he couldnt see anything. he gave him an anti inflamatory injection, his ear is very hot, anti histamine and ear drops marley is feeling very sorry for himself, I just hope it improves before we go away _________________
