i once was asked if i would consider mindy to be a donor , but then i forgot about it, after watching that programme on telly about vets selling blood i really don't know , but would definatly use one of my dogs to save one of the others

OMG this takes me back. :2431: One or two on here will already know this story.

Took Nico a couple of years ago as a very nice lady at Crufts told me that GSDs usually make good donors.

To cut a long story short Nico wasn't having any of it. Shot backwards under the table and when the vet and her assistant backed him into a corner he growled for the one & only time in his life! Never seen anyone move quite as fast as that vet did. 'Course Nico was mortified and kept wagging his tail as if to say sorry.

I told them I didn't want to bother trying again as I didn't want to upset him any more than he already was. He's never been a big fan of the vets anyway!

Think it's a brill idea though, just not for Nico.

it would be a good way of getting free blood testing done
on your dogs too. if your dog passes all the necessary blood tests
you probably get re-called to give more (well your dog would)

    well!!
    I'm a Scouser on benefits
