I know some of you use Skinners dog food, just wondered what variety you use? As you know Kala went off her food a couple of weeks back and I thought about trying her on something different (both are on Arden Grange Lamb and Rice at the moment). She is back to eating well again cant fill her at the moment but she could do with putting a bit of weight back on!!

I put their food order in with Nutrecare and I have ordered 1 bag of Arden Grange and 1 bag of Skinners duck and rice, I’ll gradually add it to her Arden Grange and see what happens!!

Marley has always been on Arden Grange as it’s the only food that doesn’t give him the runs but I might attempt the skinners with him too.

Anyone had any problems with Skinners?

I've fed Skinners duck & rice for a couple of years or so hun, mine were on AG Lamb before i changed them to skinners
Both of mine do fantastic on it.. it even cleared up BBs skin & anal gland problems, BB loves it!
They both enjoy the salmon & rice too
I can't say a bad thing about it.. it's great on the purse too
If you had said you were thinking of changing over.. i could have send you some in the post to try before you buy

    Never tried skinners

I had the same problem with Keira on AG she went off her food and was quite skinny Think i must have tried every food other than skinners Keira was so fussy
Then when we had Mickey he was on RAW so i tried Keira on it and have never gone back to dried food She loves it and sits waiting for her food to be put out now the greedy little mare
I prefer to give her the minced chicken tripe and meat rather than whole chicken wings because she does sometimes get constipated when she has the whole bones They do have them but not every day
My OH hates the hassle of the RAW diet so i feed the dogs If it was left to him i think they would be back on AG he hates the smell of the tripe The only thing i dont like is when i forget to get some out of the freezer the night before thats when i end up with chicken wings thawing in water in the sink

    i havent tried skinners.
Sam is also rather skinny at the mo but he is still growing. I have decided to try him on the raw which he loves. He has been fussy with his dried food in the past so im glad he enjoys the raw and i am remembering to take it out each night as well .

Thought I'd give you an update on this. Marley and Kala love skinners!! I am saving a fortune on chicken and Tuna as they eat it without me having to add anything to it! I was wasting more Arden grange that they were eating but they just wolf skinners down.

skinners must be the one food i havent tried with fred

    (daisy eats anything)

ive now got fred(and daisy) on AG .... its the only complete food ive seen him eat, he doesnt eat it all in one go, he picks at it throughout the day and hes also on tripe, it stinks to high hell and the OH hates it, but fred wolfs it down, he loves it!!

Im gonna try my two on it They are both on RAW with Keira having some Arden Grange aswell but tbh i would prefer to have a dry food that i know they will eat Mickey gets out of control when fed AG
Im terrible for forgetting to get their food out of the freezer the night before and i cant stand the smell
OH says theres no way they would be fed RAW if he had to feed them

Ive been feeding them too much theyre both getting a bit chunky on the RAW Think its because i tend to give them the minced tripe and meat mix rather than chicken wings

Been out today looking for skinners but the only local supplier who had some only had the large 15kg bags dont really want to get one of those so the petshop owner gave me the reps name to see if i can get some samples sent to me

What type and flavour does everyone elses dogs have

Bren I get mine from nutrecare

www.nutrecare.co.uk they do a smaller bag than the 15kgs. i find nutrecare very competitve price wise even with delivery. marley and kala are on duck and rice.

I would send you a sample bren but with Ed being on 12 hour nights I have to come straight home to cook his tea and get him up so I cant get to the post office
