Just an update had a bit of an incident last wk with some weirdo guy at the park and he went for STorm and shouted and swore etc etc at me guy was about twice my size but hey ho if there is a radge out there they will find me..... like a bloomin magnet. Well anyway it knocked my confidence with Storm something terrible he was walking with his 2 dogs and storm ran over to one of them it yelped he went balistic blah blah blah. I told him to get away from Storm and if he laid a finger on me would have him lifted with the police and charged, should of just phoned my boss he would sort him out....lol anyway thats not the answer..... So anyway met Ewan tonight after work and took Storm and Zara we went to Cramond were their for a couple of hours and Storm done really really well so pleased with her and it helped me and my confidence as well......we bumped into a few unstable dogs and Storm was great was so so pleased with her. Took Zara as she is so laid back just plods along didnt take Dusk as Marc had her out and she would of just wanted to play all night....lol. So tomorrow is another day....lets see how it goes..but getting my confidence in me and Storm back... Sorry for going on again guys......

Was gonna post and ask how you were getting on so im glad youve updated us we all love hearing about training and behaviour stuff so dont apologise God i wish Ewan lived near me i could do with a trainer coming for a walk with me to observe Mickey He just goes off one every time we see another person with a dog even if they are hundreds of metres away It really gets me down because hes not even a nasty dog He just gets that excited he ends up growling and lunging I know exactly what you mean about losing confidence im the same and im sick of telling people hes not viscious Im even beginning to wonder what he would actually do if he ever did pull me off my feet He does this at the cat aswell but if he actually manages to get to the cat he just mouths her Hes usually a sweet natured big softie but its like excitement snaps something in his brain causing him to react the way he does and he cant help himself

It's true when you avoid situations for so long and get looks and remarks and people avoiding you and walking the other way and then you do the same it is hard to get out of the habit....have to admit though i wouldnt of got where i am if it hadnt been for Ewan so glad i found him.... I hope things work out for you and Mickey. Keep smiling and give Mickey a hug from Storm....

im really gald things are on the up hun well done But.... i will say this as a trainer and working dog person, if your dog had run over to my malinois for example un-invited, there would have been a MAJOR accident! you also have to be aware not everyone wants your dog running over to them un-invited as this is not a sign of a stable dog, more so one being rude. if someone for example has their dog on lead there is a reason or under close control for example. i also dont allow my dogs to just run off and greet other dogs with out my say so either, as if shes running off full pelt to a dog you dont know, could you stop her......?? im not trying to put a downer on this at all hun trust me! but theres sooooo many posts on here by members sayng about ppl with dogs who have run over to their dogs un-invited ect. i wish you all the best as looks as though you are getting there for sure
