tbh as long as it is done humanely and doesnt harm the dog i have no objection to it my lad boss had his tail docked when he was born, as he was initially bred to hunt and fight *rolls eyes* i think he looked better without a tail tbh, i saw other dogs similar to him with tails and it didnt look as nice :2431: imo of course lol.....

I still think certain dogs look better with their tails docked, I still think its funny to see a boxer with a tail as you say Shelley as long as its done humanely and doesnt harm the dog

I agree, some dogs do 'look' better docked but otherwise I think only working dogs should be docked as some of the accidents they have with full tails is awful!

Although I'm not for the americans docking great danes etc ears I think it looks awful and surely it hurts!

I don't like tail docking tbh it's not natural

this dog is called psycho his owner is on my friends list
he's a rescue dog and the previous owner tied him to a
tree and cut his tail off.

    looks weird doesn't it

Well there's a first. I agree totally with Karen!!

If nature intended them to have tails, then in this day and age, there is no need to dock them.

Maybe we think certain breeds look better that way because we've become so accustomed to seeing it.

But worse still is the American habit of cutting the ears on Great Danes & Dobermans. It must hurt and I cant see how it is necessary.

i have some rottie breeders have stopped now as they are having problems selling pups with tails.

some show folk have been known to break the gsds tail (by slamming in door)so it looks straight (no curl)
only last year dog was put down line after german judge had noticed it had been done to dog in class

omg thats disgusting Kenny, people like that should have their head slammed in the door, that must have been so painful for the dog

Personally i dont agree with it if its cause of health reasons or something then yeah if done correctly. I do think you get used to what you see and if a breed changes it looks weird at first but if they werent meant to have tails they wouldnt be born with them.

Deff slam their head in a door a big large heavy door!!!
