PostSubject: Remote Anti Bark Dog Collar   Fri Mar 26, 2010 4:25 pm

ive been talking about these with bren and im considering getting one for fred, hes got into the habit of when i let him out of the back door he charges to the back fence hackles up snarling and growling ready for the dogs that live behind us who antagonise him by yapping all the time .... when i open the back door i make him wait until i say he can go, which he does lovely... he will even come back when i tell him too even if hes all fired up looking for the enemy lol!!

ive tried a long line on him, hes not daft, while hes got this on him he doesnt charge, but the minute i dont use it, he charges ive even shouted him in everytime he does it... it doesnt bother him ....

has anybody else had experience of the remote control spray collars....

thats a spray collar that sprays when he barks hun.... this is a remote control one to correct other unwanted behaviour so for example ... when he runs to the bottom of the garden and growls i would press the button and it would spray him with unpleasant stuff

i found the spray collar worked nix ... the only annoying thing was having to trim freds hair on his neck, or the spray wouldnt hit him in the face so then it wouldnt work

i spose if i got the remote control one, i would have to trim his bloomin hair again
