PostSubject: Battery hens   Wed Mar 24, 2010 2:49 pm

The girls are due to start their journey to freedom in next two weeks. They are fourteen months old and are still laying. Unfortunately we are having to charge £4.00 per hen as our costs have gone up (again!).

Please bear in mind that some of the hens may appear a little featherless to say the least but soon come on with a little tlc. If you feel you can offer these little creatures a good home please contact the rescue.

    £4 is dirt cheap Hilary,

Hope they all find nice homes after the life they have had

we used to charge £2 and make 50p profit.

you live and learn, hopefully the girls will all be re-homed, I have put this add on an ex-battery hen forum and directed it to Paws n Claws for contact numbers
