PostSubject: doggy fete day   Thu Mar 11, 2010 6:12 pm

[b]Paws n Claws have been invited by the local council to have a stall at the local doggy fete day in June.

we have lots of collars and leads to sell which were donated to us.
I have also come up with the idea of putting together a doggy and cat hamper and raffling them.

now I know how clever you lot are..... has anyone any ideas for any other fundraising things??????? also, we need to make people aware of who we are and what we do. we badly need foster carers, we could help a lot more if only there were more people willing to offer temporary accomodation to our animals.

we already have a poster, we just need to get some big ones done., but we need flyersto hand out on the day and during to supermarket bag pack we are doing in May.

can anyone help design one please??? that will include our logo

thanks in advance for your help guys

    will give it a go.

other ideas you could do are:
Homemade treats would be good for any animal.
    Face painting for the kids?
Getting one or two people to dress up in a furry fun animal costume & standing there with a bucket.
The kids love it when they get a hug for putting coins in.
    It’s good for a laugh & family fun…
Collars, Leads, Pet bowls, Pet toys. What about more items that people can buy for themselves?
Key Rings (Get pet images printed on them) Picture frames Stationary Fridge
Magnets, Dog Tags Gift cards I also think the brick-a-brack
idea is great, like hold a little car boot sale.

other Fund raising idea’s Sponsored dog walking, Child face painting? You
could paint their favourite animal. Animal fancy dress party, Each
guest must pay a small fee which goes to your charity? Maybe your local
youth club or hall would let you use their space for a night.

    still thinking

hi hilary i was just telling my girls about your fete your doing and i mentioned us doing something to help raise awareness and money for paws n claws. Theve suggested a danceathon so i gonna go try find a room to hold one and see if we can help in anyway, i did a fete for the kids on our estate a few years back raised abit of money towards a play area, and a trip to flamingo land it was good really enjoyed it.

what about cuddly toys ? get sum cheap dog/cat/ other animal teddies and sell these - if theres lots ov kids there who love animals then they can go home with a new cuddly friend

u cud also have a BIG animal teddy and ppl (for a small donation) have 2 write their names on a piece ov paper and a name for the teddy and whatever name is chosen (at random out ov a hat or box or summin) wins and that person gets 2 take the teddy home?
