Rescues - who does, who would, who wouldn't?

    interesting subject me thinks

the only rescue dogs i have had was when me and a freind stole 2 toy poodles from an abusive owner when i was 13 years old, and a dog once followed my son home from school one day, and after a spell in the dog pound we took him on. but they where years ago.
at the moment 3 dogs is more than enough for me. but if i could i definatly would

I had the same problem when i was unemployed Bev, several rescues wouldn't rehome to me, fair enough maybe but my dogs have never gone without.. i was lucky to find the rescue that i got BB & Xsara from because they were able to see past the fact i didn't work.. i was able to give a loving home to 2 needy dogs, all rescues don't have the same policy, some do look at individual circumstances

Paws n claws look at each home individually, providing you can offer a loving home to an animal, feed it and provide vetrinary care (vets or PDSA) We would not discriminate.

I would rescue if i didnt already have my two

I was torn whether to have a rescue or a pup when we decided we wanted another dog I must admit i was nervous about getting a gsd from a rescue and not knowing the breeding or circumstances of why it was being rehomed
We sort of did both in a way when we got Mickey he was 10 months old and had been in a home where they hadnt looked after him properly but on the other hand we paid alot of money for him and we knew his breeding

Once we had seen him there was no going back and ive been suffering for making that decision ever since he really is a little bugger

When we decided to get my mum a dog after my dad died we got a rescue dog and she is now my mums lifeline

I would rescue a dog, i rang up over one before i got tia and was turned down because ethan was 3 she said she wouldnt recommend me getting one when ethan was so young, we had abit of a disagreement cause i said ive always had dogs when all the girls were babys toddlers and they grow up together but no she wouldnt have it.

i have rescues in the past. But had molly as a pup from sue (jacobrad) and not gone anywhere else.
I would consider a rescue again though.
But 3 is certainly enough for me at the mo
