    HE PASSED!!!!!

I am so chuffed and quite shocked tbh lol.... weve been putting the hard work in at home so i knew he could do it... but today was different people different dogs... and one particular little dog did NOT like fred at all and kept going for him, and was constantly eye balling him through out the lesson ....i made sure we stayed away, and fred was quite the gentleman and ignored him after an initial growl back :2431: .... we also had a late comer which threw me off :2431: ...and then there was a woman with a GSD that she couldnt control...and didnt understand the concept of 'shorten your leash' and 'check your dog' .... im no expert myself but it was pretty much common sense ... fred almost got up on the 2 minute stay...i luckily got him back down before his belly fully left the floor :2431: ....

it was all pretty much the same as the bronze test,.... just a couple more questions and 30 seconds extra on the stay!!....

i have to say though.... the saturday group is much better

    :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

    Shelley and Fred

Sounds like you had a nightmare with the other dogs
    but Fred

You can relax now and think of me and Bev on Sunday

Ive not had much practice time with Mickey this week yet as ive been really busy so wont be surprised if we fail It wont be the end of the world so im not gonna worry about it

    Who took the test?

cheers hun ... its not that the other dogs were really bad, just not as good as our group :2431: ....

mo and zep took the test, and geoff asked the questions...we had to go over to him individually.... it might all be different on saturday though hun.... might just be geoff doing it ....

i reckon mickey will do just fine .... and nico.... there might not be many of you in your group on sunday..... finers crossed its just you bev and carol :2431: .... that would be brill!!

the gold starts next week i think.... they said see you next week anyway lol.... im not sure when im going to be able the make the gold now ... ive found somewhere that i can walk too to take the gold... hes actually a GSD bloke.... hes trained them for 20yrs.... but im not sure i want to go there.... i like going to zeps too much...

Know how you feel it takes 3/4 hr and costs quite a bit in petrol to get to Zeps training but i prefer it to the others ive been to in the past

I like the fact that its outside aswell Mickey was a total nighmare when i took him to the indoor training we only went twice and the trainer didnt attempt to talk me out of it when i said i wasnt coming back

Ive got to start working 4 or 5 days from March but have told my boss i dont want to work Wednesdays because im definately gonna go to the Wednesday afternoon sessions Will probably do the Thursday evening session aswell but may not start that one till May with Keira
Got alot on atm with my mum sorting the house and new work rotas etc but will see how it goes I definately want both dogs to train

That's fantastic news Shelley. Well done! Down to us now Bren. Can't let the honour of the Saturday group down!

Done nothing with him again this week. Roll on summer I say. Can't wait for the lighter nights.

Will have do some serious cramming on Saturday.

Good old Fredley. He's inspired me now!!

cheers girls .... i reckon you will be absolutely fine, and will fly through the test .... fingers crossed there wont be many there on sunday :2431: ...

weve done some serious cramming this week bev.... which im gad of, cos we were close to failing on the 2 minute stay, which i ahve to say he has excelled at on the racecourse and at home... but today he was very unsettled, whining and fidgeting, which put me on edge

and i could have done without the dog that took a dislike to him :2431: i did feel sorry for the dog, it was a recent rescue who they think has been abused .... but it should have stayed away from my fredley

    forgot to mention before....

you also do road work .... up and down the road, passing each other and cars ...making the dogs sit at the gate and by the roadside, going in and out.... i thought fred would muck this up as we had to walk past our car, and the kids were in it :nonono: ... but on this he did very well lol

i reckon nico will be absolutely fine, hes always good at training .... i just wasnt prepared for the road work today, and another woman wasnt either lol... weve never done any before, unless ive missed it ... it wasnt really a problem, we walk next to cars every day, just ot ones with tia in it though ... we also did the test on the field next to the kennels... which meant there was the puppy class too

We don't do roads either but he should be alright with that. Just worried he might pull to speak to other dogs

there was one nob head in a silver car who thought he was on a race track....it was digusting the way he sped past....and its not like he couldnt see us ... we had the silver and bronze in our group and there was a couple of people/dogs who are normally there in our saturday sessions ... and depending on how many more cant make it on sunday so went yesterday instead.... the class could be very small for you
