Aww that's sad hun R.I.P likkle fishy Steff do you need to keep the carbon one in coz my little tank upstairs had one and the bloke from Maidenhead aquatics said I could take it out and throw it after a few weeks as I didn't need it any longer than that so I did and everything seems ok Don't take yours out because it may be a completely different setup to my other tank

do they clean lots of poop up then? cos even though weve done a 3/4 tank change, added another filter and scrubbed all the rocks and the centre piece the other day.... weve noticed poop on the floor of the tank _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! I hope to go to his heaven, not man's~

Well I do a water change about every 3 weeks now I used to do it every week but it never seemed dirty enough I have live plants, plastic plants, clown loach, and 4 cory's, things seem to be working ok I guess, no dead fish, *crosses finger* I have a 4ft tank with 5 adult guppies, 1 adult Molly and her 3/4 grown baby, 4 adult platies, 4 more 3/4 grown platies, about 12 inch or so long platies, 3 shrimp I think that's it, I feed a sprinkle of baby food every morning and a sprinkle of baby food with adult flake every evening, I sometimes starve them for 24 hours and I also substitute the flake for algae tables once or twice a week, the light goes on when I get up and goes off when I go to bed
