PostSubject: Todays training   Sat Jan 23, 2010 1:29 pm

Well today s training went fine

Got to meet Bev who is very nice and Nico who is gorgeous just my type of GSD

It was funny because i didnt realise it was Bev until i heard someone say Nicos name We were in the same small class and Geoff was taking our group

I thought Nico did really well He was doing most of his commands offlead and was really good Bev should be proud of him especially as he hadnt been for ages and he was in a group of dogs he hadnt met before

Mickey was quite good today aswell No growling or lunging well just once i think when another GSD growled at him but nothing like as bad as he has been in the past
He was quite chilled today Think he is starting to relax around other dogs a bit more
Just wish he was like that all the time

Still dont feel confident enough to have him offlead doing comands because i know he would be off like a shot especailly in Geoffs group
He kept looking over to Zeps group so i think he would of headed that way
Think he thought they were having more fun because the group was bigger and there were more dogs to nose at

Gonna go take Keira out in a mo as she is sitting giving me the evil eye
Its a shame she gets upset when i take Mickey and not her aswell

Shelley couldnt make it today but i think she is gonna try get to one of the training sessions in the week

Looking forward to next week Hope its a bit warmer tho i hate training in the cold i still havent warmed up yet

Had a nice chat with Bev at the end was telling her Mickey needs to meet other dogs offlead so i can see how he reacts I know Mickey only wants to play
Hopefully we are gonna meet up and let the dogs have a play together soon

    Thanks

Nico is a really good looking boy very handsome

Im shattered now ive just took Keira up Cannock Chase and she had a lovely long offlead walk She is such a good girl compared to Mickey
I dont get all stressed out when i take her

She runs around offlead and ive only got to give her a little whistle and tell her to come and she runs back Mind you she does get excited when we meet other dogs so i do put her back onlead if i see any other dogs we met a lovely husky today

Got back and have been doing some training with both dogs in the kitchen and hall and they were both really good

Im hoping they are both worn out for the day now so i can relax in peace tonight

its been ages since ive seen keira lol

He works most Saturdays so out of a six week course he can only usually do one or two so it isnt really fair on Keira Even when we used to go in the week it was a struggle because of his shifts or he would be delayed so we would end up not going its so much easier and hassle free going on my own

I couldnt take both together and do half class each because they wouldnt be safe left in the car where we have to park we train on the field further up the road so wouldnt be able to see if there was a problem The first i would know of a problem would be my car alarm going off because the dogs always jump around and panic if they cant see me

Theres many a time ive had to run out of the local newsagents when one of them has set off the alarm

Definately right they just cant stand to be ignored

My son used to be the same doing naughty stuff like writing on walls
He would do it really slowly and make as much noise as he could to attract my attention
