    Healing With food

    Bread

    Bran

    Potato

    Mustard Powder

    Onion

    Healing foods
We all know the health benefits of a well balanced diet, but food is good for
healing purposes too, using food wrapped in bandages can help speed up healing
and even help with skin problems, different foodstuffs in a poultice can have
different effects on different skin ailments.

To make a poultice mix the ingredients into a paste, cover damaged skin with
a porous cloth; stick the ingredients onto the cloth and wrap with a
    bandage.

    Bread Poultice
Bread Poultice You take homemade bread and soak it in a little water and oil
(cooking) to draw infection from sores and cuts

    Bread and Milk Poultice

Bread and Milk Poultice mix bread and milk together to make a paste, useful
for bringing boils and abscesses to a head.

    Bran Poultice

Make a paste with hot water and bran; apply as hot as can be tolerated. Used
for inflammations, strains, sprains, and bruises.

    Potato poultice

Is a traditional home remedy for inflammation. Applied to the skin, it is
used to heal skin conditions such as eczema. Over the joints, it is used to
    relieve arthritis.

    Onion Poultice

Saute chopped onion in oil add 1-2 tablespoons of flour and wrap in cheese
cloth. Apply to area. Excellent for drawing out impurities. High sulphur content
makes it good for inflamed areas.

    Mustard Poultice

Use powdered mustard and mix with water to make a paste. Add flour to hold
paste together. Do not apply directly on skin. Wrap in muslin or cheesecloth or
cotton towel between skin and paste. Cover with plastic wrap. Remove immediately
if stinging or burning occurs. Use with caution. Do not use on sensitive or
broken skin. Good for arthritic joints and any condition requiring increased
circulation. Used to help relieve congestion, aid asthma; relieve coughs and
assists in getting rid of colds and flu when used on the chest.

    Salt and onion
Put salt in boiled onion to make a poultice and tie it on a boil so that
    it breaks.
