PostSubject: bloody snails   Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:21 pm

im sick of them.... we just cant seem to shift them, they pop up from nowhere....

twice now the external pipes have become clogged with snails...and ive just noticed the water getting cloudy again.... ....

in the past month weve taken all the plants out and replaced with artificial... weve cleaned out the aquarium and the filter and the pipes.... TWICE!!!!!!! weve put snail away in TWICE...

im hoping were near the end of it now...the odd few i spot, i crush :2431:

im thinking one more clean out of the aquarium and pipes and we should have cracked it

think thats what i should do..... funnily enough we bought some dalmation mollies recently, maybe i should have bought some clown loach ....

a trip to the aquatic centre it is when the OH is home .. my tank needs more fish in it.... its got about 20 fish in it, but it always looks empty ... they only ever emerge when they get fed...its annoying lol

I wasn't keep on the clown loach but got them as we just couldn't get rid of the snails, I really like them now, they are interesting and always active and it means I can keep live plants and it doesn't matter if the snails come back with new plants as it literally took a few days till they were all eaten so they will make a nice snack for them again

oooh think i may definately get some then... i was tempted to get more angel fish, they tend to swim in the middle where you can see them more... all the mollies hide behind the rocks and (fake) plants :2431:
