he is spot on with some points , insurance 1st thing the vet/nurse asks if you have before looking at animal and as he says it only covers long term illness and u still pay for vaccs etc thats why none of our dogs are now insured

I agree with Kenny. None of my dogs are insured anymore i have a savings account for large emergencies and after 4 years of being ripped off i have now found a fantastic vet whom i trust and doesn't charge the earth and wont put the animals through anything unneccessary !!!

Instead, embrace it and ensure your pet has a good death in the same way you gave it a good life.'' _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! I hope to go to his heaven, not man's~ |

I agree about the insurance, I dont bother anymore either. Abbey are good Shelley, I've always used the Chellaston one and so have loads of people I know, without a problem. Cant get there with no car though so use pets@home for most stuff They are ok, they dont have a clue about breeds sizes or feeding but the dogs love them and they can do vaccs and neutering ok !!

same here Shelley rather be safe than sorry My vet doesnt push it on us or remind us like the vets i used to work at do They would send about 3 or 4 reminder letters out All my animals are insured aswell again rather be safe than sorry My last cat cost me well over £1000 when she was attacked by a dog Then she had anyother problem that required meds until she died which was when she was 19 I do trust my vet and dont feel they try to push unnecessary tests etc They are reasonable with prices aswell compared to some other vets Even when i worked at a vets i still took my animals to the vet im with now I suppose there are plenty of vets out there just after the cash its disgusting
