PostSubject: How could they???   Tue Dec 01, 2009 1:49 pm

PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK

i was looking at the local dog pound as usual
when i came across this poor frightened severly skinny little staffie girl,

Kennel Reference: 209028293
Date Found: 16 November 2009
Gender: Female
Status: Stray
Where Found: Birkenhead , Tollemache Road
Description: Cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, brindle, white on chest

how can people be so cruel as to starve her nearly to death and throw her out on the street only to be thrown into the pound what hope has she got in there? much the same as if she had stayed with her owner along with the x amount of healthy staffies already past their sell by dates she has no hope at all
the more i know human race the more i love my dogs..

PostSubject: i cant believe they said this ffs   Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:56 pm

i had a reply from a staffie rescue about the skinny girl in the pound

this was 1st reply

Karen,

God! - there's nothing on her!

I am going nto send this on to Bob Whittall
immediately - to see if there is anything he can do.

Bob as you probably know, is the overall
'Co-Ordinator' for 'Northern Staffordshire
Bull
Terrier Rescue.'

I hope he may be able to help?

Kind regards.

Peter.

2nd reply

Karen.

I am awfully sorry, but I am afraid
not.

'We' think she is a 'cross' - and therefore we are
unable to help,

as the 'Rescue' can only help and accommodate
'pure' SBT's.

(Please look at the length of her
legs.)

I am terribly sorry, and hope that you can find
someone to help her.

Kind regards.

Peter.

what differance does it make she's dying ffs

Quote:
Stevie:= If you need a foster home for her, she can have one here, perhaps we
can arrange some dogsey transport to meet us at least half way.
I'll leave it with you, but the offer is a serious one till a forever home can be found

Karen xxxx

Quote:
Stevie= No probs. I only wish I could do more, but she will have a lovely
foster home with plenty of TLC. and hopefully if it can be arranged a
good christmas.
Perhaps then we'll have time to find her a forever home xxxx

can pull this off i will be forever grateful and so will skinny minny
(had to call her something)

Quote:
Stevie= Skinny Minnie it is then.
Just ask the warden as much as poss, if I need to be aware of anything at all, small or large, so it will help me build a bigger picture.
What are they feeding her, is it 4 small meals a day, does she need
vets medical attention, has she had any blood test (just incase it is
medical condition like pancreas) has she been walked by/seen other dogs
how did she react. Anything you can think of.
I have had rescues in the past where they have lied, and probs have
been soon to rear, so thier honesty would be much appreciated. Thanks

RE: Transport

Quote:
Kay= That poor dog.
I'll offer to do the whole transport run if needed. I'll have a day off
work - 400 mile round trip but who cares - worth it to save her. Let me
know if I'm needed.
Kay

panic over guys the dog warden said "she is still on
a drip and under vetinary care and wont be released until her weight
improves dramatically", it's good news, at least we know now she wont be pts wether feeling loved is included in her care is another thing.
