I didnt go either I emailed you last night

Mickey has a hot spot on his back so i didnt take him Had him at the vets yesterday and he is on tablets and im having to clean and put cream on it
for the next 10 days I was gonna take him if he seemed ok thinking it would take his mind off the itching but i had to put a cone collar on him because he wont leave it alone so i thought it was best to miss this week
Will definately be going next week He should be fine by then

Im hoping sooner rather than later he is driving me nuts in this cone

My legs are covered in bruises already

Cant believe how quick the infection spread one minute he was having a little chew like he had an itch and the next there was a big red patch on his back Good job i got him into the vets straight away because it spreads really quickly

Just finished reading it Mickeys hot spot went exactly the same within hours
Not sure but he either had a bite or we think he may of had a bit of prickly plant stuck in his back to start him off chewing My vet said the damage has actually been done by Mickey himself sratching and chewing which has caused the infection It spreads so quickly Mickey was the same jumping about and showing his teeth when i tried to touch it to have a look
It took two of us and a muzzle to hold him while the vet shaved his fur and cleaned the wound His is on his back just above his tail
He seems fine now and ive managed to hibby scrub it and put oitment on earlier OH had to hold him still tho Its not as sore looking now and he has calmed down

Poor Mickey, it is an awful thing for them. They had to sedate Mimi to clip her and clean it up, she was going mad :2431:

It soon healed though, although she wouldnt let anyone near it so she was only on antib's in the end and we just left it to heal without using the cream or the wash (which they didnt bother giving us until it started to heal ???).

I hope he recovers quickly and so do you Shelley

Thanks Im sure he will be fine

He did make a bit of a fuss when the vet clipped him It was the senior partner who has loads of experience so hes seen it all before and wasnt intimidated by Mickeys teeth He smiled at him thru his muzzle
Seriously tho it is a horrible thing for a dog to have and Im just glad i managed to get an appointment with the vet within hours of us noticing it because it spreads so quickly He seems fine today and has let me bath it and put cream on so luckily it cant be as bad as Mimis case was He even comes back to me to have his cone put back on after he has been outside or had his dinner Hope he is ok for training next week
