Need your healing vibes for Friz, he came in from the field last night quite lame Seems to be one of his hind legs, there wasnt any swelling just heat. Hes had some bute last night and this morning. He seems to be putting more weight on it when standing still but still lame when he's walking Fingers crossed hes only pulled something and it gets better with a few days boxrest.

Well ive spent the morning waiting for the vet. When i got him out the stable he wouldn't put any weight on his foot at all, so one emergency call to the vet She said its an abcess in his foot altho a pain, its the best case senerio (sp) as its easily solved. Shes dug away at some of his foot and drained some of the puss out but its quite deep. He's got to be banaged up and the foot poulterised (sp) to draw the puss out, but she didnt have any so i've got to pop to the vet about 2.30 to pick the stuff up then bandage the foot myself I'm gonna book them to come back out of friday to have another dig around, she said monday but the way things are going lately its my luck it goes bad over the weekend, so if they come out friday i can relax a bit over hte weekend. Other than that he'll have to stay in the stable for a week or so. Im just pleased its nothing worse.

Thanks hun. I bandaged it up this evening, there was a bit of pus coming out gotta go out tomorrow to get more bandages as he needs them changing twice a day and the vets charge so much more than shops, my bill just for today is about £108! They are coming back out friday morning to see if they can dig away more hoof to drain more out and she said it will be another £70! bloody animals. Anyways he seems fine in himself, the same grumpy lil pony he is and doesnt seem in much pain, only when he walks. He was alot more comfortable putting weight on his foot after i bandaged and padded it so he should be more comfortable tonight

Had the vet out this morning for a check on the abcess, hes really pleased with it, it seems to be healing well, alot of pus came out yesterday and he had another dig around this morning and didnt find anymore pus, so i can just change the bandage once a day not twice and he should be allowed out on mon/tues as long as i keep the foot covered so thats good news
