    well where do i start :2431: ....

he was doing absolutely fine until he saw the OH walk past the field... then it was chaos.... he was whining very loudly and excitedly and paying absolutely no attention to me at all... and didnt until 5 minutes till the end of the lesson..

i got to meet the lovely mickey today   he is sooooo handsome, even more so in real life ... hes like an overgrown puppy :2431: .... i thought he was much better than bren describes him ..and then he broke free :2431: and wouldnt come back.... but he made no attempt to go for any other dogs, he was just playing with bren, every time she got close he bounded away .... i could imagine it being very hard to be cross with him hes so gorgeous  .... he did give up eventually lol.... and when we finished training we were able to walk the dogs side by side and chat on the way back to the kennel area ....

next week my OH is banned from coming near us,and im using the choke chain

awww bless Fredly he is trying tho Shelley pity your OH spoilt his concentration
(i would'nt be able to concentrate either)
but at least you are both making tons of progress and thats the main thing

poor Bren with Mickey tho but at least he's not being aggressive with the other dogs

PostSubject: Re: mascani training week 2   Sat Nov 14, 2009 11:10 pm

Just read Shelleys description of Mickeys behaviour think mine on the other thread was more acurate and i thought Fred was a star Trust Shelleys OH to break his concentration typical men The same used to happen when i was training Keira she would whine when she saw OH watching or run to him when we did recall
I really enjoyed today and think it really helps the owners aswell as the dogs build their confidence up
I was so glad we were in Zeps group i think he is a brilliant trainer When i was talking to him later he said i should really be working in Geoffs group as he is taking his silver he doesnt move me next week
Geoff had quite a few characters in his group he was saying one dog tried to bite him a couple had a go at each other and there was a husky that went for a run around the field He really had his hands full Bet he will be thrilled if he gets Mickey aswell He did say he really likes Mickey as he is a really cheeky character and really spirited but i bet his face will drop if he joins his group
Was the training better this week Shelley? I was shocked how many dogs were there tbh You can tell Zeps training is popular
I was taking Keira next week aswell but Mo has advised me not to saying it might distract Mickey so she wont be kissing the gorgeous Fred afterall
Cant wait for next week Hope Bev goes im dyingto see the lovely Nico

Hes not gonna be there to take pics Says he will spend some quality time with Keira and take her for a long walk on Cannock Chase while im at training
Think they both miss their relaxing walks
Im hoping we wont be moved to Geoffs group next week He definately had his hands full

Cant wait to meet Bev and see Nico

Im gonna get there earlier this week and hope Mickey behaves better
Think he got a shock when he saw how many dogs were there
Zep was impressed that he behaved fine when we were walking down the road together
Hope the weather improves so training isnt cancelled
