| Have you had experience of a fearful dog, or nervous dog, what age did you notice the dog becoming fearful, do you did you manage to help the dog overcome it's fear? |

| Marley is frightened of his own shadow at times but we just work through it. Fireworks and thunder is a big frightener for Marley and at times he gets spooked by anything that isnt "normal" on a walk and I sometimes have to go over and show him its nothing to be frightened of _________________ |

| We have just noticed my sisters dog is fearful. We were aware of some personality changes since she moved back home but it is only since she started to attack that we have been very aware and watchful. We are still a work in progress but we think she has been kicked... yes i did say kicked and beaten... We believe it was the ex so now we are trying to build up her confidence in people again... i would love some advice... we are currently making HUGE fuss of the correct behaviour and bad behaviour gets a stern NO thats all and it seems to be having a very slow but noticeable effect. |

| I have to say its awful. She used to be such a sweet dog now im so wary. She has bitten my son but not since she initially moved here about 9 months ago and more recently one of the young pups. She has severe food aggression which we are managing rather than approaching just now. I have been recommended a book that deals specifically with these types of probems so waiting on its arrival with anticipation and hope. I have to say after she bit my boy i was tempted to pts but on monitoring we discovered she is just scared stiff of everything but she has improved now she is in a calmer atmosphere with calm dogs. She has no dog social skills which doesn't help. Im so hopeful we can get her over this. |

| Maggie is very nervous. She hates strangers and will ignore them, which is fine, but people dont listen to us and try to stroke her anyway. Once they look at her and talk to her, she jumps towards them, barking, then backs away and tries to hide behind us. We have to be really careful with her. We can take her anywhere and she will be fine unless someone pays attention to her.
Shes fine with people she knows though, she loves attention from them!! |
