    It is said that Britain is a nation of animal lovers.

    What (if any) law changes should be made to reflect this?

    do you think we have enough laws. should
    to the RSPCA enforcing
    animal welfare legislation be handed over to the police force
    .

    i think animal welfare laws need a bloody big shake up.... maybe if owners were forced to take proper responsibility for their dogs actions we wouldnt have half the problems we do... and animal welfare should be taught in school from an early age...

    and i think other rescue organisations should be able to go in an rescue animals in distress

    .... absolutely... i remember years ago i called the rspca to a neighbours dog...it was tied up all day rain or shine, no shelter treading in its own muck, and was filthy... the rspca said it was perfectly acceptable and told them to clean the garden up.... they did as they were told, but weeks later the sitution was back to normal....

    were too soft
