    Do you think that dogs are better off than they were !00 years ago? -
    Are they generally happier ? Have breeds progressed or been meddled
    with beyond the call of duty? What does everyone think?

    hmmm im not sure.... i think they will be happier in the way that they are guaranteed a meal every day ..but i think we have meddled with them and humanised them too much...

    you used to see dogs roaming the streets all the time, and scavaging in bins.
    we dont see any of that here now except for the odd runaway

    i honestly dont think dogs are that better off IMO, we have mutated a lot of breeds for the sake of looks not work. we treat them like humans so they dont get the needs a dog actually wants. we have more behaviour issues due to this so imo the dogs are not happier. i belive every dog should have a job in life, but thats not the case now. even if that job is carrying a back pack or doing some training everyday. if this makes sence lol

    i think vet wise they are better off food wise yea but not mentally or physically*sp* with all dogs. so depends on the owner also
