Who is still using the dogmatic head collar? I want to get a new head collar for Mickey but not sure which one to go for Keira hates her dogmatic and always ends up frothing at the mouth whenever ive used it so i use a normal halti on her now Mickey also has a halti but it rides up into his eyes and irritates him so i need to get something else He does tend to pant heavier than Keira so i was thinking the dogmatic might restrict his breathing Im wondering if maybe Keiras is a bit small I did buy the one for the large gsd so as far as i was aware it is the correct size Im also wondering if the leather one is a better fit Anyone who uses one let me know what you think please Thanks

I have used a halti, a gencon but find that the dogmatics are the best for Molly as they are just like a horses headcollar. Unfortunately a little madam (not naming anyone....Tess) chewed the leather one I had!

I was going to try the gencon What type do you use Hillary? The all in one or the head collar i think i may order both i can then use the head collar with the extendable lead if we walk the dogs somewhere where other dogs are about Atleast if i try the gencon it can be used for Keira aswell if not suitable for Mickey Yes Jude the problem with the dogmatic is the size i followed the measuring process but i still think Keiras is too small Did you swop Marleys for a bigger size? I hate having to send stuff back

I didn't get on with the Dogmatic, Bren is too hairy and it did my head in with the doing up and undoing I have 2 Gencon's, they fit all mine, from Bryn to Hazel, though I don't really use one on her. But if I take all 3 out together I use a Gencon on Misty and Bryn and Hazel has a normal collar on, it gives me security that if something did happen I would have control over the stronger 2 dogs. If I take them seperately I don't need a Gencon as they all are reasonably OK with a sharpe correction a hundred times I also have the Halti for Bryn, which I like, but the Gencon is used because it's easy slip on slip off Bren I have the all-in-one Gencons

I dont use a headcollar anymore on Viva, but i used to use the halti but it kept rubbing her eyes, and she was an odd size, she was inbetween 2. I did swap from the halti to the gentle leader and it was great. I do keep it in the car just in case.

i think what makes them good is they do sit nicely on the dogs muzzle doesnt rub into the eyes ect so you do have more control as it stay in place
