PostSubject: PIP OUT OF HOSPITAL   Thu Oct 15, 2009 10:08 pm

Well we've got Pip back from the equine hospital & now the hard work really starts!

He looks a bit battered as he cut his face & knee when he was trying to get to his feet while the anaesthetic was wearing off.

He is on box rest for the next four weeks & then in the paddock for another four weeks. At that point he will be reassessed so fingers crossed............

    Yes Karen, you dozy bint!!

I have been to him tonight cos Chloe is at college. What a grumpy little git he is atm!! He wouldnt move over for me so I slapped him on the bum & he squealed & bucked, in the stable!!! He's vile sometimes but I think he knows I'm a bit wary of him. He's as sweet as anything with Chloe

His back seems to be okay but he has an infection in one of his legs so the vet has sent us some more antibiotics. He doesnt seem unduly concerned and has said this often happens after ops of this nature, so thats okay then! Lol

I'm hoping he will cheer up when he realises it doesnt hurt anymore. Although we have been told that Va Tout offspring are often a bit iffy temperament wise

He's had two ops. One for kissing spine & another to sort out a long standing problem with the hind ligaments.

He is a bit better today. The antibiotics are doing their job at last
