    bonnie is nearly 10 yrs old and i noticed she's getting stiff on her hind legs, i have made a appointment at the vets and no doubt they will give me rymadyl or metacam for her , but i would like to try a supplement , i tried everything on susie but lost her anyway does anyone give supplements besides glucosamne , thanks

    Hi,

    I give loads. Reggie is on the BARF diet and I supplement with various bits and pieces. I would give Bonnie a high dose of Glucosamine together with fish body oil (not cod liver oil). If giving fish body oil you will also need to give Vit E.

    Just spotted this is an old post but thought the info may be useful.

    thanks karen, i have found a food with added glucosamine, cronadin and cod liver oil, and i put her on arnica , she's doing much better

    cortaflex is really good,you can buy for about 17pound off net,if your taking her vets theres a really good drug called previcox but depends how stiff she is,its more expensive than metacam thoughxx
