when i worked in the dog parlour... i was drying a rottie, he was muzzled, thank f**k, but went to bite me.... he knocked me into the wall with the force, and still bruised my face lol...

cesar milan is amazing.... over the past few months ive been watching him loads on sky and nat geo channels....

i dont have sky anymore which i hate cos i miss his episodes now.

i was sooo pleased when he came out as i follow his values with dogs always have its common sence.

i never liked the way even the trainers i trained under would work dogs i said to my mum a few yrs back there are other ways to train and then CM shows up and its like thank f**k lol

he had a mali on a short while back..its was part of a security team of 6 dogs.. consisting of labs,malis gsds.... the one creating all the agression and hassle was the labrador ... :san42:

I think what they were doing was like us going to training class, if we relied on just that training each week and allowed the dogs to run riot in the house, they would go crazy and very naughty. They relied on basic obedience but left out the basic psychology which will keep the dogs calm and submissive.

This is why I'm not bothered so much about doing formal training with mine. Their "attitudes" if you like, are constantly being shaped and moulded into what we want, bad behaviour isnt allowed but good behaviour is rewarded. Because they know whats expected from them, they tend to walk ok on the lead and be pretty well behaved in other ways too, therefore, any training we do is just for fun rather than relied on.

yea i remember now about the security dogs... they were well behaved on the job, it was out of work they needed the help..... my ex boyfriend was a dog trainer in the army, he trained dogs to detect bombs.... his dogs at home were very naughty... he said he couldnt be bothered to train his own dogs when he'd been doing it all day :2431: ... i only had them in my house once... never again... :nhy:
