| Three Rottweiler pups 'die in bin' | |
The Scottish SPCA is searching for the people who left three Rottweiler
cross pups in a bin in Clackmannanshire - and the culprits could end up
with a prison sentence.
Chief superintendent Mike Flynn called the act "horrendously cruel".
"By dumping them in a bin, whoever did this literally believes it is okay to just throw animals away like rubbish," he declared.
The little dogs did not survive despite being rescued by a lorry driver who
heard their cries and took them home to be cared for.
He and his wife fed them special milk with syringes provided by a local vet, the organisation reported.
The victims are thought to have been less then 24 hours old.
Mr Flynn added: "No dogs should be taken away from their mother before they are eight weeks old."
The centre asserted that in addition to a prison sentence, such cruelty could warrant a fine of up to £20,000.
