what a bloody day i had today

went to go train them two sheps i said to my bro i imagine they are fluffy eng bred dogs....yup i was right they were sooooooo fearfull wouldnt stop barking wen i got there and backing away ect. i said i wouldnt train one of these for security AT ALL they are a danger and liability.

i said they lack nerves which happens in the eng lines.....OMG you could have shot me down, these are german bred the guy nearly screamed at me think my face said it all i said trust me they are eng he said i have the papers to prove it with german names on.

i quickly told him that means nothing, and i actually have a german bitch who is about their size *they are 7 months* and she is lighter boned longer legged more defined head and muzzle yadda yadda. he listend in the end.

he tried to argue the fact his dogs are not nervous i said wen we go out side watch my mali and how he reacts to your dogs going for him. Rostam just sat there chest out ignoring them......i said THAT is confidence then pointed to his poor dog who was freaking out THAT is anxity! the dog worked wen he shut his mouth so i told him to zip it as his dog listens then

the wifes dog who was ment to be worse was actually more bidable very scared again but this is very much a genetic trait which is very sad i think they can help them tho they are very willing. i kept trying to explain secrity dogs are bred and trained from day one he didnt buy it at first tll he met Rostam

i got round to to the guy in the end he relised i knew my shit BUT F ME i am soooo tierd, i have told him to meet me every wk or so to work his dog he wants to train for security purely for the fact i dont want this dog becoming a danger i have told him i WILL NOT train any man work tho. but will teach him all the other stuff!!

christ my bro said once the guy went on bout his dogs lines he knew i would tell him to shut up

Bloody hell, what a nightmare. This is why I would never go into any kind of dog training, I would have lost my temper and walked off in a huff

Those poor dogs, I hope they dont get dumped in a rescue in the future cos they arent what they were meant to be. I've known a few nervous sheps, you can "manage" them and get them to react better to things but I dont think they ever lose their nervousness completely, its just managed.

i got very assertive at times as i said to him a security dog IS NOT a pet he wouldnt buy it and said all these compnays say they are. i explained kiki will befriend anyone i tell her too but she will look at situations much differently to any other dog same as pup god it was a long day as i had other meeting ect.

they love the dogs and i hope they will do the work they seem keen to but this isnt something that will go away forever you can not work a dog like that. if you challange his dog it will back off no dought altho he belives otherwise *sigh* im taking ki on thurs to show him a GERMAN bred dog lol and show him some shit may get pics too
