A MOTHER-OF-THREE helped organise a sickening dog fight in a pit dug in her
garage, a court heard yesterday.
The RSPCA found three scarred pitbull terriers and dog fighting gear in a raid
on Claire Parker's cottage.
They launched a probe after being told that Parker, 44, and five others
watched a 24-MINUTE fight between two dogs at her home.
Nearly £10,000 worth of cannabis and £4,000 in cash was found in a kennel in
the raid.

Parker's husband John, described in a previous court case as a "major figure"
in dog fighting, was jailed for 30 months for drugs offences. He died in
prison in April while awaiting trial over the alleged dog fighting ring.
A man had told an undercover reporter his pitbull Pablo was in a fight at the
house - refereed by John Parker, Lincoln JPs heard.
Michael Shorrock QC, prosecuting, said: "It is inconceivable Mrs Parker wasn't
aware of the use of the premises for dog fighting." Two men face jail after
admitting dog fight charges.
Parker, of Kexby, Lincs, Mohammed Farooq, 33, of Birmingham, and a
17-year-old, also from Birmingham, deny similar charges. The case continues.
