| heres the story...
my mum lives in a bungalow with her husband, for the elderly.... theres two rows of 3 bungalows.. they all have their own front garden with gates... but all gate and paths can be shared generally there not unless used in emergency etc...
at the back they have a little garden outside the back door, some people have chosen to put a small fence across to privatise it ... then theres a path that runs right across the front of the bungalows which is shared acess... over the path, the residents all have a large patch of garden each, they can put borders of flowers or shrubs in to make it thier own private area, but their not allowed to fence this bit off...
next door but one to my mum a woman and her husband and their 5yr old gsd moved in just over a year ago...
recently my mum has found out that the couple have been letting their dog bound over everybodies property when they let it out... they have their little area outsde their door fenced off... but they let the dog out on to the larger areas of grass....
the other day my mums cat had to be rushed to the vets... we thought it had been attacked and then run over... but ive since found out that the cat was only attacked by a large dog... my mum seems to think that the neighbours gsd has done it... she knows the laws of cat and dog lol.. dog chases cat... etc etc,... today my mum has been round to the woman and asked her if she wouldnt mind keeping her dog on her own garden, and not to let it bound over other peoples property ... the woman said 'no' and went indoors...
im going visiting tomorrow, so i said i would ring the council for her....
is she well within her rights to report the woman and ask the council to tell her to keep her dog on her own property.. even though its bungalows for the elderly?? and the main gardens cant be fenced off, they have to remain accessible to a certain extent.. _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | If she is letting her dog out unsuperevised to roam on other peoples property then she is not in control of her dog and Im sure she will be breaking the law. I would also tell the council that your Mams cat got attacked and although you cant prove this you think that this dog may have been the culprit. Also say that your Mam has been and asked nicely for her to keep her dog off other peoples property and she has refused. I hate irresponsible dog owners!!!!    _________________ |

| its made me soooo angry jude.. the dog is lovely, and its not her fault, but the woman has even told me that she cant control it, only her husband can.... my mum put it to her that what if it had been tia she had hurt... to this the woman still didnt answer... wait till i get there tomorrow... i shall get straight onto the phone to the council... i would tackle the woman too, but i wouldnt put it past her to let the dog out and if tias about... the result could be terrible.... _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman!
