PostSubject: TICKS!!!   Fri Aug 21, 2009 3:13 pm

Kala is curled up on the sofa next to me sound asleep bless her and I have been stroking her and felt a lump further investigation shows and she has 2 ticks :wqq: She's still asleep and snoring!!

I will have to wait til Ed comes in the get them out ( we have a tool for it) as one of us will have to hold her. I can only think that she has got them from our walk last week when we were out with the 4 dogs but I havent felt them until today. I hate the bloody things Marley got 8 when we were in Scotland last year.

The thing is they get their flea and tick treatment religiously!!
I'm fanatical about it but they still get them!

awww it's not your fault Judes, :nhy: i dont think the flea/tick control works very well for ticks to be honest for fleas yes but ticks no.
good thing you've spotted them and you can get them removed quick enough

Thanks hun I'm gonna have a look see now, anything is worth a try. Its the one reason I try to keep Marley away from long grass and woods and it looks like Kala is going to be the same!

I never get bitten by anything either and I'm so pale, I look dead

I live in a town centre so not many places for ticks to hide here but I've always dreaded them.

Garlic seems to keep fleas at bay too
